Besa Martin Officially Files for
Kendall County Judge

Besa Martin, a resident for over two decades and respected community leader, has

officially filed to run for Kendall County Judge in the upcoming 2026 Republican

Primary. Martin brings a wealth of experience as both a rancher who understands

the challenges and rewards of rural life and a dedicated attorney serving the

community and the State of Texas.

Since moving to Kendall County in 2003, Martin has demonstrated her commitment

to public service through numerous leadership roles. In 2016 Governor Abbott

appointed Besa to the Advisory Committee for the Texas Real Estate Research

Center at Texas A&M University, where she currently serves as its’ Presiding Officer.

For the past nine years, she has also served as a director for the Sonora Bank, a

community bank with a 125-year legacy of service in Texas.

Her local involvement includes service on the Kendall County Appraisal District

Board and the Boerne Public Library Foundation. While on the Library Foundation,

Besa worked alongside other Kendall County members to assist in the construction

and opening of the Patrick Heath Public Library.

Martin is also deeply engaged in Republican politics, maintaining active memberships with the Kendall County Republican Women and the Republican Party as well as being a Kendall County Republican Club member. Her involvement in the community is further reflected in her family life; she has been married to Roy Martin, Jr. for 30 years, and two of their daughters are proud graduates of Boerne High School and Champion High School.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve Kendall County. My goals are to protect our quality of life, work with the county officials and representatives to develop a culture of respect and open communication within the county government; support our law enforcement, courts and county service departments; focus on effective communication with state and federal representatives and agencies concerning Kendall County issues such as resources for the county operations, water, transportation, and taxes.” Martin said regarding her candidacy. “With my experience, dedication, and deep appreciation for this county, I am committed to upholding the values and priorities of our residents.”

Besa Martin invites all Kendall County residents to join her campaign and help shape the future of the county together.
